Who can apply?

Anyone between the age of 18–75. You must be a UK resident, be in employment (or retired), and have a bank account with a debit/credit card.

Scottish Vauxhall group works in partnership with Close Brothers Retail Finance who provide interest-free products.

Will a credit check be undertaken?

Yes, as part of the application process Close Brothers Retail Finance require a credit check via pre-approved credit reference agencies.

What happens if I get declined?

Close Brothers will email you to advise that your application has been declined and give you the names of the credit reference agencies used. You can contact them and receive a detailed overview of your credit history.

Can I apply for finance to pay for a Service Plan?

No, the finance facility is not available for plan purchases at this time.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, a deposit payment is required – the minimum deposit is 10% but you can choose to pay anything between 10% and 50% of the full bill on the day.

What if my bill is greater than £5000?

To authorise a finance application for a bill greater than £5000, please speak to the service manager at your local Scottish Vauxhall retailer to find out more.

What if I want to keep the goods but don't want the credit agreement anymore?

All customers have a right to withdraw from the credit agreement. You will need to inform Close Brothers Retail Finance of your intention to withdraw within 15 days from the day you receive the welcome pack. Contact Close Brothers Retail Finance directly on 0844 880 6542. Close Brothers Retail Finance will require you to repay the outstanding balance of the loan, plus any applicable interest.

After the 15-day withdrawal period has expired, you can settle your finance agreement any time. On request, Close Brothers Retail Finance will provide you with a settlement figure and details of how to pay the outstanding balance. You can contact them directly on 0844 880 6542.
