later this year. The New Corsa will feature Vauxhall’s bold and pure Vizor front end across
the range as well as a number of additional styling and technology improvements, while
fully electric models are upgraded with Vauxhall’s next-generation battery technology,
improving both range and performance.
Orders for the New Corsa open later this summer with first deliveries set to commence from
Q4 2023.
Bold & Pure design with Vauxhall Vizor
The New Corsa will come with Vauxhall’s bold and pure Vizor front end. First seen on
Mokka, Corsa is the final passenger car model to get the distinctive front end that has
become the face of the brand’s latest generation of models.
The Vizor is composed of a single smooth panel that sits between the LED headlights,
housing the advanced Vauxhall driver aids and safety technologies. At the center of the
panel sits the new Griffin logo.
Other updates include 17-inch alloy wheels with new black-effect detailing, while a shark
fin antenna can also be found at the rear of the vehicle – further adding to the sleek profile
of the New Corsa.
The Vauxhall Corsa has always been a class-leader in lighting technology, with the IntelliLux
LED® Pixel Matrix lights upgraded on the New Corsa. The technology automatically cuts out
oncoming road users from the beam, ensuring drivers have a clear view of the road even in
dark and poor conditions without dazzling others.
Next-generation powertrain technology
New for Corsa Electric is Vauxhall’s next-generation 51kWh electric battery. This, combined
with an upgraded electric motor now producing 115kW (156PS) results in the New Corsa
Electric delivering more performance whilst achieving 255 miles (WLTP) between charges –
a 15% increase from the previous 50kWh powertrain.
At launch, buyers will be able to choose between two powertrain options on the Corsa
Electric, with the existing 100kW (136PS) powertrain remaining available, which achieves up
to 222 miles between charges (WLTP).
All New Corsa Electric models come as standard with an 11kW onboard charger, allowing
for a 0-100% charge to be completed in 5hrs and 15 minutes. The same full charge using a
7kW home wallbox is estimated to take 7hrs and 30 minutes. Supporting 100kW rapid
charging, a typical 10%-80% charge will take just 30 minutes.
The Vauxhall range is based on a simple trim line-up that makes choosing the right model
easy for the customer, and New Corsa will continue this approach.
Another first for the New Corsa is the introduction of a 48-volt hybrid powertrain, that will
deliver improved efficiency without the need to plug in. Petrol variants of the New Corsa
will also be available, ensuring New Corsa remains accessible to all with a powertrain choice
to suit a variety of needs.
New interior and technologies
Inside, New Corsa features an upgraded infotainment system with Vauxhall’s latestgeneration user interface. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, which
utilises Artificial Intelligence (AI), the interior sees the touchscreen upgraded to a 10-inch
model, while the 7-inch driver instrument digital display benefits from new graphics.
In front of the instrument display is an updated steering wheel design, while new seat
patterns and a new shift lever are other interior styling upgrades.
As part of the infotainment upgrade, New Corsa models are available with wireless
smartphone charging for the first time, with smartphone users able to connect with both
Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.
Connected 3D Navigation is available on New Corsa, as are Over-the-Air updates allowing
owners to access the latest features and developments without taking their vehicle in to a
retailer. Intelligent voice control with natural voice recognition helps drivers keep their eyes
on the road. The technology, already seen on the Astra range, can be accessed by saying
‘Hey Vauxhall’.
A new high-resolution panoramic rear-view camera helps with manoeuvring, while safety
continues to be enhanced via the latest suite of driver assist and safety technologies such as
adaptive cruise control and speed limiter, and automatic emergency braking with
pedestrian detection.
The Vauxhall Corsa is Britain’s best-selling car (April YTD) in 2023, finished 2022 as the top-selling supermini and second-best-selling car overall, and topped the overall sales charts in
2021.
